AUDRC hosted the launch of ‘The Ghost Cities’ book a week or two back. The event was well attended, a box of books were sold, and a box of beers was drunk.
Fred Chaney delivered a wonderful account of the book which concluded: What I think you've done is to produce a really useful work for policymakers, for politicians, for your fellow professionals. I think it's a book which will perhaps help us make fewer mistakes in the future. To be less grandiose in some of our thinking and more pragmatic and acceptance of the drivers of what makes a city a good place to be.
