After working on planning and urban design projects In Angola, Portuguese architect Dinis Candeias sought to further his studies in urbanism. A desire for new adventures, led Dinis to discover the Urban Design Centre in Australia, now AUDRC. The concept of working in a research centre dedicated to urban design, located in a booming and progressing city, with the potential for future employment opportunities, paved his gateway to Australia....

After completing his undergraduate studies, Gareth headed oversees and, like many before him, was inspired by the great cities of Europe. This experience fuelled a keen interest in urban design and a desire to undertake further study. After some research and a meeting with AUDRC's Dr Julian Boliter, Gareth made the decision to enrol in the Master Of Urban Design. Equipped with a Bachelor of Science (Urban and Regional Planning), and a keen interest in achieving well designed, liveable places, Lauren decided to undertake further study; completing a Masters of Urban Design at AUDRC. Lauren is now working as a Strategic Planner in local government.
