The Australian Urban Design Research Centre (AUDRC) is committed to excellence in design thinking and communication, creating inventive solutions to address the global challenges of urbanism in the 21st century.
We are defined by articulating synergies between research and practice, writing and built form, and encouraging the connections of our research with dynamic postgraduate teaching programs, including AUDRC's flagship course, the Master of Urban Design. A broad range of methodologies and tools enable a creative research-by-design process conducted by a diverse, interdisciplinary staff base.
AUDRC is affiliated with the School of Design at the University of Western Australia (UWA) as well as to government agencies such as the Western Australian Department of Planning and the Housing Authority. The quality of AUDRC is assured through its executive board whose members are representatives of government, industry, and academia.
With its own studio, workshop, and exhibition and conference spaces AUDRC offers an inspirational educational and research experience.
